I am a Project Manager working in Cell and Gene therapy space. In my current job, I coordinate activities in Research and Development, where I plan, develop and manage Budget, resource and timelines for pipeline development by taking input from a team of scientists. I also have experience in planning, execution and management of manufacturing projects for clients in a GMP Cell and Gene therapy facility where I coordinated activities across various functions (MFG, QC, QA, SCM) and ensured execution of projects on time in full. Prior to this I have extensive research experience in Molecular biology, Biochemistry and Molecular epidemiology. Looking for opportunities where I can apply my technical expertise and project management skills to achieve my prospective employer’s goals.

EXPERIENCE
EXPERIENCE
May 2017-Nov 2017

Post Doctoral Research Fellow

Department of Dentistry,

University of Toronto, Canada

Project: ‘Investigation of adherence of stem cells on endotoxin contaminated dentin’ - Funded by American Association of Endodontists Foundation, USA

  • Contributed to a team of endodontists studying adherence of stem cells on endotoxin contaminated dentin and analysing efficacy of Dexamethasone releasing nanoparticles to rescue the effect

  • Found that endotoxin inhibits adherence of viable stem cells on dentin and can be overcome by conditioning dentin with Dexamethasone releasing nanoparticles

  • Provided substantial evidence on efficacy of these nanoparticles and their potential use in regenerative endodontic procedures

April 2014-April 2015

Post Doctoral Research Fellow

School of Biological Sciences,

Nanyang Technological University, Singapore

Project: ‘Identification of circulating microRNA in sarcopenia’ - Funded by National Research Foundation, Singapore.

  • Contributed to a team of clinicians and scientists studying age related skeletal muscle loss

  • Personally selected test and control human serum samples and completed molecular analysis to correlate circulating microRNAs with age related muscle loss.

  • Identified four circulating microRNAs having potential to be used as diagnostic biomarkers for sarcopenia

Nov 2009- April 2014

Post Doctoral Research Fellow

Department of Biochemistry,

National University of Singapore, Singapore

Project: ‘Investigation of epigenetic mechanisms in Dexamethasone induced skeletal muscle cachexia’ - Funded by Biomedical Research Council, Singapore

  • Explored molecular mechanism of skeletal muscle atrophy caused by anti-inflammatory and immunosupressive drug - Dexamethasone

  • Deciphered a microRNA-1 mediated mechanism causing muscle wasting by targeting Heat Shock Protein 70 which eventually leads to activation of ubiqutin protein ligases- MURF and Atrogin-1, responsible for degradation of myosin heavy chain

  • Published the study in Journal of Biological Chemistry

May 2005- September 2010

 Doctoral Fellow

Department of Biochemistry & Biotechnology,

National Center for Disease Control, India

Project: ‘Molecular epidemiology of outbreak associated strains of Dengue Viruses’ - Funded by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, India

  • Designed study, collected and analysed human blood samples, did virus isolation and molecular genotyping of isolated strains of Dengue Viruses

  • Identified DEN-3 as dominant genotype responsible for 2006 Dengue outbreak in Delhi.

  • Identified co-circulating DEN-1 to be next potential outbreak causing Dengue Virus

  • Published results from the study as 3 first author international publications

August 2023-Present
